FORMER WYKEHAM HOUSE SCHOOL, FAREHAM

Former Wykeham House School, Fareham

The former Wykeham House School in Fareham closed in September 2015. The buildings comprised the original house, which is a Grade II Listed Building, and a classroom block to the north built in the 20th Century.

BJC Planning secured planning permission and Listed Building Consent for the conversion of the Listed Building to 5 apartments and the conversion of the former classroom block to 7 townhouses. The development included a modest extension to the classroom block to provide a further 2 townhouses.

The development secured the removal of a glazed link between the former classroom block and the Listed Building thereby enhancing the setting of the Listed Building.

Parking for residents’ vehicles is provided to the rear of the townhouses and also to the front of the Listed Building. The scheme includes an attractive landscaped setting to the front of the buildings.

The development of this site is now complete.
