Land adjoining 4 Brookfield, Providence Hill, Bursledon



BJC Planning has obtained a resolution to grant outline planning permission, subject to the signing of a s.106 legal agreement for the erection of up to 20 dwellings with associated parking, creation of new access from Providence Hill, substation and attenuation pond (landscaping reserved) on land at Providence Hill, Bursledon.  The application on behalf of Triangle Property Development Ltd comprised an outline application, with all matters reserved aside from landscaping which would be considered as part of a future reserved matters application at a later date.


Bursledon, Hamble-le-Rice and Hound Local Area Committee Members were supportive of the proposals and once the s.106 legal agreement has been signed, planning permission will be issued. The traditional design of the proposed housing was recognised and supported by Officers, who were also satisfied that the residential amenities of the adjoining properties would be maintained by the proposals.


This scheme proposed 2, 3, 4 and 5-bedroom properties.  There would be a mix of house types, sizes and tenures, with 13 private market dwellings and 7 affordable dwellings (35% of the total).  The density of the development would also be relatively low at 17 dwellings per hectare.
