7 DWELLINGS APPROVED IN BOORLEY GREEN

7 DWELLINGS APPROVED IN BOORLEY GREEN

BJC Planning has obtained planning permission from Eastleigh Borough Council for the ‘demolition of existing industrial buildings followed by the erection of 7 dwellings with associated parking and use of existing commercial access to serve site’.  The site adjoins other sites with planning permission for residential development to the north and to the west.

Despite being located in the countryside, local gap and the Council claiming a 5-year housing land supply, the opportunity to remove the existing ramshackle industrial buildings and improve appearance of the site was a material consideration in favour of the development.

The final design of the scheme for the 7 dwellings was devised around retaining a TPO’d oak tree along the northern boundary and also involved providing sufficient separation to properties on the road frontage.  Development on site would also not extend any further westwards than the existing industrial buildings.  The approved mix of dwellings includes 1 x 2 bed, 4 x 3 bed and 2 x 4 bed dwellings.
