BARN CONVERSION TO RESIDENTIAL IN LINCOLNSHIRE

BJC Planning has recently obtained planning permission for a private client, who owns land in Brattleby in West Lindsey District in Lincolnshire, for the conversion and extension of a barn to a 3-bedroom dwelling.

The barn conversion includes a small extension to be added to the existing 48.7sq.m building.  When the work has been completed, it will provide a single-storey property suitable for a small family.  The Nationally Described Space Standards did not apply to this development.

The works to the building will be sensitively undertaken and will incorporate among the materials, red brickwork, timber boarding, roof slates, plain clay roof tiles, timber windows and conservation rooflights.

A Bat Licence has been obtained to enable work to take place imminently to the roof of the barn.  The applicant is also liaising with Paul Basham Associates with regard to a s184 application for the vehicular access to the site.
