RETROSPECTIVE APPLICATION TO CONVERT INTEGRAL GARAGE INTO HABITABLE LIVING SPACE AT PORTSMOUTH PROPERTY

BJC Planning has obtained retrospective planning permission for the conversion of an integral garage into habitable living space at a property located in the Old Portsmouth Conservation Area.

The works which have taken place did not affect the exterior of the property at all, thus there had been no resulting impact upon the fabric or the setting of the Conservation Area.  It also follows that there has been no harm caused to the same by the proposal.

In order to provide access to parking spaces within driveway at the front of the property, the owner is required to apply to extend the existing dropped-kerb.  At the same time, the Council will also modify an existing Traffic Road Order which relates to the existing double yellow lines and parking bay on the road outside.
